Q: Where do you get your inventory?

A: We get inventory from one of three sources:

  1. Customer Trades: Often the best cars are the ones our customers have loved and driven
  2. Auto Auctions: The bulk of our inventory is purchased either at live auctions or, as we say in the automobile industry, via Simulcast (online)
  3. Consignments: When our customers have a hard time selling their car on their own and don't want to trade it in, we often will clean it up and sell it for them. If you are interested in consigning your car, please see our consignment section.

Q: Do you sell cars on the internet?

A: Actually, we sell the majority of our cars to internet buyers and shoppers. In the last decade, internet research, shopping and sales has taken the automobile industry by storm. The excellent privacy policy that we foster as well as our beyond-expectations care we give our customers makes for a secure, quick and easy transaction that keeps our customers coming back for years to follow.

Q: Can I buy a warranty after I have already purchased a car?

A: Under special circumstances, we can allow a customer to purchase a warranty within 60 days of the purchase of their car. Often, we sell cars that come with the Audi factory warranty so these customers do not need a warranty until their current policy expires in which case we can sell an extended warranty per the customer's request.

Q: When can I expect to receive the title?

A: In the State of Colorado, we have thirty days from the purchase and delivery of the car to give your title to you or your leinholder (if you financed the car). For further titling questions, please ask our title clerk.

Q: When can I register my car?

A: If you financed your car, you will receive a postcard in the mail from your local County Clerk and Recorder's Office telling you that they have received your paperwork and that you can register your car.

If you paid for your car with cash(or a personal check, or any other means that is not through a third-party financial institution like a credit union) you can register your car as soon as you receive the title paperwork via certified mail from Go Motors.

Q: Is it hard to get financing?

A: We use CUDC, a system that gives our customers access to the best rates in the state at any given time with the ability to write contracts to finance a car with over 150 Credit Unions. The likelihood of your approval of a loan will be dependent on the following factors (in order of importance):

  1. Your credit score and personal purchase history
  2. The year and mileage of the car you are looking to purchase
  3. Whether or not you have equity on your trade (if you have a trade)
  4. Whether or not you have a down payment
  5. Your source(s) of income
  6. Your amount of income relative to the purchase price of the car
  7. Your desired length of time of the contract and desired amount to finance
Please refer to one of our staff members or salespeople for further financing questions. Please remember that the rate/amount and approval varies on a customer-to-customer basis.

Q: Do you take cars on trade?

A: Depending on the make, model, year, mileage and condition of your car we frequently take trades toward the purchase of one of our vehicles. If you are making payments on your car, please contact your leinholder and retrieve:

  1. your payoff
  2. your account information
  3. the principal on your loan
With this information in hand, please fill out our trade appraisal form or contact us directly. See question #13 for more details.

Q: How do you determine the value of my trade?

A: In making an appraisal for a trade, we try our best to give you the top dollar amount for your trade based on current market and local prices. If you feel that your trade was appraised at an amount lower than you see fit, we suggest that you take the following steps:

  1. Verify that all of your accessories and car's details were accounted for.
    1. Sometimes neglecting to mention details such as a sunroof or new brakes can drastically change the value of your car--be specific!

  2. Do your own research by checking local pricing through www.cars.com, www.msnautos.com , www.nada.com , www.kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) and local dealerships (in Boulder, Colorado) to compare trade in values.

  3. Evaluate as to whether you still want to trade in your car. Consider the pros and cons:
    1. Pro: Taxes on your new car are reduced by the amount of taxed you paid on your trade.
    2. Con: Selling a car on your own does not permit the same discount.
    3. Pro: We take your car, pay it off if necessary, and do all of the legwork to sell it. This includes detailing, pictures and posting on the internet, as well as customer management.
    4. Con: If you choose to sell the car on your own, you also have to manage the sale on your own.

  4. If you would like, we can also consign your car for a small consignor's fee. This service is detailed in question #14.

Q: How do I consign my car?

A: Consignment of your vehicle would consist of mutual agreement as outlined by our Consignment Agreement , after which we would detail your car, fix any agreed upon flaws, check it into our lot and proceed to offer it for sale at the price determined by the contract. We would post it on the www.gomotorsco.com website as well as all of the websites that we currently advertise on. When an offer is made on your vehicle and it is sold, we you receive a check for the agreed upon amount, minus Go Motors fees. If you are still making car payments at the time of the consignment, we will payoff your car and subtract the payoff amount from your total check.
